Dr. Yoko Suzuki is passionate about empowering women with knowledge and choices. In addition to her rich Gynecology experience, she has received advanced training and education in vaginal rejuvenation, labiaplasty, Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation™, ThermiVA™, PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and other cosmetic gynecology procedures.

Dr. Yoko Suzuki graduated from Nihon University Medical School. She came to America after completing an internship at the U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa. After passing the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), she continued training in New York and Detroit, and went on to fellowship, specializing in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Brigham Women’s Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School.

With her graduation in 2010, Dr. Suzuki also received a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University. Afterwards she returned to Tokyo, Japan, where she studied fertility treatments while working at Kato Ladies Clinic in Tokyo. She continues her focus in Gynecology and performs surgery at St. Joseph Hospital and La Veta Surgical Center.

Dr. Suzuki's goal is to provide alternatives to her patients, so that they can arrive at the best outcomes possible for whatever health and wellness challenges they face.

The surgery typically involves local anesthesia and takes one to two hours, depending on the extent of tissue removal. Incisions are strategically placed at the top and bottom of each side of the vulva, concealed within natural skin folds for discreet outcomes.
5What is the recovery process like?
Expect a one to two-week recovery period, during which rest is crucial to avoid pressure on the vaginal area, including sexual intercourse. A donut cushion can be used when sitting. After this phase, gradually resume normal activities, avoiding intercourse and strenuous activities for at least six weeks. As swelling subsides, the final scar becomes barely noticeable due to its discreet placement.
